  • to go to Burma by plane, you must make a stopover in Singapore
  • it's better to go to Burma during Christmas because there is a good weather
  • money : 1£ = 1000 kiats

YANGOON

  • Yangoon (formerly known under the name of Rangoon) is not any more the capital of Burma. It’s the most important city and the commercial, industrial and tourist capital of the country.
  • Book early, because rooms are sometimes difficult to find!
  • A visit of the golden pagoda of Shwedagon is inevitable. High of 112 m, its summit is decorated with a golden ball and inlaid with more than 2 500 precious stones.Yangoon kept a colonial atmosphere which contributes to its charm, while the city has no skyscrapers like its Asian neighbours.
  • In Yangoon we just suggest you to walk during the evening because it's a bustling city
  • We advise you a very good restaurant not very far from the pagoda : The Paradise
  • So, do not forget to go to markets!

Approximately 100 000 inhabitants live there, most of them cultivate vegetables (cucumbers, pumpkins, beans ans tomatoes) on the surface of the water. During the rain season, they provide all the country in tomatoes.

NGAPALI

  • When you go to Burma you have to go on Ngapali! These beaches are situated in the South of the country, they are immense and constituted by beautiful white sand. These beaches are very well to rest in family.
  • Sessions of massages are organized there during day, and then in the evening you can find very good restaurants all this in front of the fantastic view over the sea.
  • The best season to travel to Ngapali is Christmas. You can ask the hotel to do a boat ride, to dive, to rent bikes on the beach or to ride horses on the beach.
